Lucky Stars

30.4k Hyattorama  6.1 years ago

Lucky Stars is an experimental aircraft designed by Mark Stull, an aviation enthusiast. His airplane featured a unique ring-tail design. I wasn't able to find much information about this plane, other than the fact that Stull died in a crash while test flying a new variation of his plane. It's an unfortunate tragedy, but at least his memory will live on here in SP!

Flight controls are standard.
No AG controls.
VTOL for flaps,
Trim for trim.

Hope you guys like it! Happy flying :)

Oh haha gotcha. Yeah the DC-3 is a very cool plane. I’m not sure I could build it though... I mean I’ve never built a plane that size... I guess maybe that’s something for me to aspire to. However, @jamesPLANESii did build a DC-3. You can check it out here. It’s a rather old build, but still very good. It would be easy to modify it to make it more chrome-y :)

    Hey man,
Thanks for your suggestion! Can you be a little more specific about the chrome twin prop? A lot of different planes could fall under that description.

And as for your profile pic, I’m not totally sure exactly which plane that is, but I’m pretty sure it is a Schneider Cup racer. And I did build one of those, the Macchi M.C. 72, which you can check out here. Thanks for your interest!

Hey Hyattorama I wanted to suggest you to make a chrome twin propeller airplane and if you can’t do that can you make this airplane that’s my profile picture on the left I would really like that if you did

A lot of nudging and rotating haha. You’ll want to look into a mod called Fine Tuner @Sirnubenegra

In that case you can move the center of the lift forward@Hyattorama

Okay, that makes sense. I know my wing loading keeps creeping down. On this particular build, I moved the CoM forward because I can’t move the main lg any further back and the plane kept tipping backward. @Chancey21

Thank you for the awesome feedback! It really makes me feel good that such an advanced builder like you can take a look at my build and appreciate my work. @Chancey21 is always reminding me that my wing loading needs to be greater haha. I know he’s right, but also I kinda like that floating effect, even though it’s not realistic. Anyway, my next build is a motorfloater so my unrealistically low wing loading will finally be realistic! Haha. Anyway, thank you very much, I really really appreciate your comments :) I will keep doing my best! @Sarpanitu

If you want to lower the stall speed, move the center of mass closer to the center of lift

Everything is good with this performance accept wing loading, needs to be closer to 4-5 lbs/square foot
