If you want, remove suspended armament to be only a fighter
Description:
The Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star was Unites States first operational jet fighter, flying for the first time in 1944, and entering in service a year later.
Some history:
Four units were in Europe, ready to enter in battle, but the P-80 was introduced too late, no one was able to do a single mission during World War II. The F-80 could enter in battle in the Korean War in 1950, despite the obsolete devices for that time, the Shooting Star had no problem clearing the skies from enemy airplanes, but when China intervened in the conflict, the fighter jets MiG-15 surpassed the Shooting Star. Although, the first air combat between jets took place on November 8, 1950, a F-80C shot down the first MiG-15. During the rest of the war, the F-80 was dedicated to secondary missions ground attack and air support.
