This is the AK-12 most of you have seen before in video games! You might think that this is the actual AK-12, but it's actually one of the prototypes. The actual one was released recently (past week or so I think) and looks very different. Someone a while back asked to me to make one and here it is!
The Avtomat Kalashnikova 12 is derived from the base AK-400 rifle. It was proposed for use with Russian military and government forces. The project started in 2011 at the IZHMASH factory which is now apart of Kalashnikov Concern and was designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov (died at he age of 94 in 2013) and Vladimir Zlobin. It was originally designed to be chambered in multiple calibers like 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO (I think), and the Russian cartridges 7.62x39 and 5.45x39. The final production model is only chambered in the Russian cartridges.
This prototype is equipped with a Russian red dot sight and foregrip!

Nope. Kalashnikov is still making new rifles. The have some pretty cool new tactical sniper rifles (7.62x54r), a polymer assault rifle called the AK Alpha, and the new AK-12 (5.45) and AK-15 (7.62). They're pretty new. That's probably why no one knows about them. @Flsh0of0green
