Unis Taipan RSR
Next in line to the throne of classical European-styled sportscars, this was the hypercar of the 1970s. This baby had up to 700 horsepower out of its flat-6 twincharged engine, better brakes, better air-intake and cooling, a harder ride, a 7-speed manual auto-clutch transmission, and thicc rear tires. Overall, this was the craziest stock upgrade to an already nice sportscar.
Fun fact: You could have the option to either have about 650 hp or about 700 hp, as well as a package for 100 CR for racing tires/wheels.
Specs:
Engine: An upgraded RE935, producing 650-700 horsepower
Transmission: 7-speed manual auto-clutch R-Type.
Drivetrain: RWD or AWD, 100 CR option.
Top speed: 250+ mph
0-60: 2-3 seconds
The pedigree on this car is more on-roads than off-roads, unlike its predecessor- the GT. The main purpose of this car was practically to race from place to place or for just some fun at a track-day event. The last one to race was officially retired in 1986, but still races at classic car meets in the hands of a private collector. Serial #24-391-1971.
