The Airbus A300 model is not only famous and important because it has gained a commercial success in its work, but it is the first European design in the field of wide-body passenger aircraft after the war, which is considered a success for the manufacturer and also for the European continent. CASA from Spain, Aerospatiale from France, Daimler Chrysler Aerospase from Germany and British Aerospace from England joined together in the late 1960s and created Airbus Industries with the aim of building a twin-engine airliner with a capacity of 300 people to fill the widebody market. This 300 seater Airbus was later built on the basis of 250 seats. Because there was this opinion in the eyes of Airbus designers that this amount of capacity is less risky. The A300 design was given the suffix B, which indicates the changes for this model. Two prototypes of the A300-B1 were built, the first of which flew from Toulouse, France on October 28, 1972, and the second on February 5 of the following year. General Electric CF6 is Airbus' choice for the A300 engine. Following the original A300B1 model, the A300B2 model with a 2.65 m longer fuselage entered service with Air France on May 23, 1974. Other models of this plane include B2-200 including Kruger flaps for better landing and take-off efficiency and using different wheels and brakes, B2-300 with increased weight to carry more payload, B4-100 long-range B2 model with Kruger flaps, model B4-200 with higher take-off weight and reinforced wing and body with advanced landing gear. A small number of convertible A300C models were also made, which is used to enter the cargo into the main part of the plane through the door that is located on the left side of the plane and behind the wing. At the end of the production of the A300B4 model, the use of two crew on the flight deck was proposed for the A300-200FF model, whose customers were VASP, Tunis Air and Garuda. Finally, the production of A300B4 was stopped in May 1984.
