K-Flyfabrikk KF-8 Kungevakt (Royal Guard)
Perhaps the fastest fighter of the mid-30s was this one, with 2,000 HP driving contra-rotating propellers in the pusher configuration and an additional 1,000 HP driving a single tractor propeller. This aircraft was selected as the personal mount for Royal Guards of the United Kingdom of Sweden & Norway which caused a slight scandal as it was built by a Norse company rather than a Swedish one. Each was painted brightly with their own coat of arms, these elite pilots racked up numerous kills against Se Suomi Imperiumi before the surrender of 1937. Eighteen aircraft were presented to Suomi at war's end and were used primarily as adversarial opponents during peacetime. In 1954 they were reactivated as Interceptors and handed to skilled pilots from across the Empire to give the impression that this was Suomi's premier fighter. Losses were few and now with the second phase of the war beginning they are slowly being withdrawn from service to become trainers or ground instructional machines.

Gave me a hard time publishing this one. Designed by Kjeller-Flyfabrikk as an interceptor and was adopted as the KF-8KV - which stands for the above name. Credit due to it's creator @TheOwlAce recolor, a tweak or two by me, plus the story.
