7,404 Mrwhiskers85@gonny the A-36 was North American's reaction to the failure of the early model mustangs before the Rolls-Royce Merlin was installed. it had fence-style dive brakes to slow it in a dive. the Allison engine made it kinda sluggish though, and the whole concept was abandoned after the Merlin was installed9.3 years ago
