The QF/A-1A is a variant of the F/A-1 that had the cockpit removed and equipment to make it fully autonomous, it was rushed into the flight testing phase after the death of captin Russell callsign Dusty in which while piloting the F/A-1A entered a high-g maneuver and entered g-lock during which the aircraft lost control and plummeted into the ground during an exercise.
