[Fictional] After the introduction of the Harrier jet in 1967, the Soviet Union scrambles in despair to build a jet that could confront the Harrier on advantageous ground. Mikoyan; the designer of the MiG-21 proposed a prototype to Alexander (the Air Marshal of the Soviet Union) that could decimate the Harrier and other NATO jets: the MiG-98 (98 being 1998 being what Mikoyan think the MiG-98 will be obselete. Alexander was at awe but with overly complicated parts that go against the Soviet Ideology of simpler construction and mass numbers. Alexander reluctantly had to reject the prototype, although he allowed 75 to be built.
