Yakovlev YAK-1
10.5k Brencool35
4.8 years ago
This is my replica of a Yakolev YAK-1. This plane comes with a detailed cockpit, a two-tone winter camoflage, custom landing gear, and custom rudder and elevators. This one took a while to get right, I hope it was worth it! Enjoy!

Approach speed for landing should be around 90 MPH and the landing speed is around 75 mph. Use Maximum trim when landing and mouse control is recommended. This aircraft is ment to be stalled into landing.
I'd recommend to turn the damper up on the shocks to make it less bouncy on landing.
@Brencool35 да comrade this is for mother russia
@jselbach Thank you! I actually got inspiration to do this plane after seeing a lego version of it and I really loved the white paint aha
Always loved this plane. Great job!
@Trainzo thank you!
Very nice Yak . Great job .
@nadvgia Thank you! your builds are really nice too!
Great build, simpleplanes needs more models like this. +1
@Brencool35 no problem my friend!
@Mustang51 thanks for the input as always!
You can tag me in all the builds you want since you put effort in all of them and they’re all unique! I do think the wing tips are slightly too long and pointy here and the area behind the cockpit isn’t integrated smoothly enough into the aeroplane. Overall though I do like the general shape, cockpit, and colour. Nice job my friend!
@Mustang51 sorry I always tag you in things, put you seem to always have a great input. I'm very proud of this one, but what do you think?
