FAB-500 M62

9,499 Tookan  15 days ago

An updated version of my previous FAB-500 M62 that I posted here 2.1 years ago.

Improvements include:
- Being able to hit targets with the predictor more reliably now
- Realistic Weight (the previous one I made was actually far off from the actual weight of this bomb irl)
- Slight changes to front-end of the bomb to be more realistic in design

How To Use:
- Save as a sub-assembly by clicking and dragging on the red-painted detacher on the top side of the bomb/bottom side of the detacher
- Put it on your build(s) (this might be a difficult task to do if you want to snap the detacher directly onto a pylon, so instead use the fine tuner and adjust the position of the whole bomb and the detacher with the "Connected Parts" mode enabled while doing so, then, manually connect the top side of the detacher to whatever you want using the connection interface)
- Uh... Bomb stuff... Blow something up... idk, figure it out, it's a bomb, can't be that hard

Features:
- 1:1 to the real thing for the most part
- realistic weight
- kaboom
- boom
- did I mention this is supposed to explode?
- do not eat

The beautifully simple MiG-29A in the background is not mine and I therefore take no credit in its creation, I used it as a means of displaying the bomb in use. If you wish to download the plane itself with the bombs attached (plus a few of my personal modifications mainly to the autocannon), I have an unlisted post here that also has the original build set as the predecessor.

Feel free to use this in any of your builds, just make sure to tag and credit me in your post(s) of said builds should you put something of yours on the website using these bombs as a sub-assembly.
