"Antares Aviation: We guard your skies" - Slogan of Antares Aviation 1940

The Antares LF-7 Mako was a Lykanian single-seat, long range fighter that was created in response to early 40s fighters fielded by many nations. Originally designed in 1938, the LF-7 officially entered service with the LKAF in 1940. Equipped with 6 12.7mm machine guns, 4 rocket pods, and enough room to fit at least 2 small-caliber bombs, the LF-7 was a force to be reckoned with. It's powerful engine and sleek design allowed it to reach speeds in excess of 350 miles per hour and allowed for it to be much more maneuverable than other aircraft of the time. The LF-7 would first see combat during the Azularian Uranium Crisis, backing the forces of the UNCF.

I built this thing for our Novara RP. Feel free to join our server, just ask. Anyway, it was really fun to challenge myself again. First, I built the CT-01 to move away from modern fighters. Now this? I gotta say, it felt good. I also had context and lore to my disposal thanks to the members of the Novara RP. As part of my Revamp and Optimize era, I didn't add interior detail to the cockpit or to the landing gear to keep the part count (and thus the performance cost) low. It still works great lol.

Just for lore-wise context, Antares Aviation will be my main company for builds older than 1960, since Drakon won't be founded until 1961.
