de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide
Straight from Wiki:
The de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide was a 1930s short-haul biplane airliner developed and produced by British aircraft company de Havilland. Capable of accommodating 6–8 passengers, it proved an economical and durable craft, despite its relatively primitive plywood construction.
Additional information:
The design chosen is loosely based off the Royal Mail aircraft, but with passenger seating instead of cargo space. This is the six seat version that doesn’t come with the extra windows behind the door.
Instructions:
Set flaps down with VTOL
and Thottle
up to 100% and gather speed. The tail will lift and after this you can Pitch
up to take off gradually. Once airborne retract flaps.
Roll
and Yaw
work as normal. Be careful not to over pitch and roll at the same time as the plane can become unstable and lose altitude fast.
I have tried to replicate what I think is a realistic flight experience for this plane considering it’s era.
Activate Landing Gear
to turn on landing lights.
When landing use flaps to slow down and sustain 90-95% power until touch down. Brakes
can be used immediately as long as pitch is fully up, but be careful not to tip forward too much so to hit the prop blades on the ground.

Excellent build, although even at full power she constantly wants to nose down.
very beautiful build.
I flew in this aircraft it was amazing, though I was uncertain about the huge gaps in the side door!
This looks like the one from a TV show called planes resurrection that plane they show I've been in this looks identical
Very good replica. Nice job.
amazingly done!
@Cedy117 Well... Get on with it!
Jeez it has been 3 months rip me I’ve got some things that are almost done so I’ll probably post them sometime in the next month @Othawne
@Cedy117 Three months since last build... Shame on you! @Authros Very nice De Havilland!
Sorry, I forgot to add the link before I released it, but too late to change it now. @jamesPLANESii
wow great work!
I thought you were building this for my Bush Plane challenge... oh well.
Wow!
wow! cool biplane!
@Authros Here they are most known for carrying Franco from the canary IS.
No Thank You
I guess they’re most famous for their use for Dominie transporting the female pilots back and forth between the Spitfire factories and Spitfire outfitters. No instruments were added in the spitfires when they rolled off the line back then so it was a dangerous job to fly them. @MEERKAT978 @GritAerospaceSolutionsLTD @Treadmill103
Awesome!
Also used by the SOE much like the Lysander...
These used to fly out of my local airport!
Eyy I used over too, before I got a pc. @Authros
Cool!
Superb!
A mobile app on iOS called Over. I use the free version. @yoshicraze
Great job man. It's perfect.
