The Vi-FA-266 is the dream of any fighter pilot, fast, maneuverable, high acceleration and stealthy. The Sky Krait will get you in and out of any battle scenario in one piece. Coated with Radar and IR absorbent paint and engine heat masking technology the 266 is incredibly hard to lock onto and with her high maneuverability and a licensed Jundroo HUD you'll be able to avoid anything that still can fire at you.

History:
Development began in 2081 when the armed forces of the ITT requested a light fighter that could out maneuver and out think it's opponents. Not only was the fighter to be stealthy, but also to have a long range and high acceleration. In this new era high speed wasn't the main concern, missiles could catch most anything and only planes that could sneak by or out maneuver SAMs would survive. Designers set to work building a plane that had energy retention, high acceleration and agility that left the pilot still able to operate the aircraft, but still out maneuver other threats.

In 2083 Viper Industries developed the first fusion cores for its aircraft and this gave the Sky Krait it's range and in 2085 the prototypes of the 266 where reworked to use new thrust vectoring engines, but problems with the fusion power to the engines and heat masking ensued pushing back development. Finally, in 2087 the first version of the 266 was entered into mass production for the ITT Navy and in 2088 the Air Force of the ITT received the Vi-FA-266B Sky Krait. The Sky Krait is a lighter, more stable version of the Sea Krait and is built for deployment from land primarily.
