De Havilland Mosquito B MK IV (fused 4000lb bomb)
When the De Havilland Mosquito was first introduced in November 1941, it was one of the fastest aircraft in the world. "The wooden wonder" was light, fast and highly manouverable. The wooden construction also reduced the radar signiture of the mosquito, making it harder to track. Mosquitos are most famous for, among other operations, operation Jericho, in which 2 squadrons of mark 4 mosquitos bombed a German prison with such a high degree of accuracy that very few French prisoners died in the bombing, but the prison walls were so damaged that about 250 resistance fighters managed to escape, of which at least 50 were not recaptured. This De Havilland Mosquito B MK IV was a modified version of the original MK IV that was able to carry a single 4000lb bomb. INSTRUCTIONS: Ag1 for bomb bay doors, Ag2 to drop the 4000lb bomb. Be very careful with the bomb, it has a very large blast radius. I have given it a 15 second fuse, however - the bomb will explode 15 seconds after dropping the bomb. It works about 95% of the time. Camera 2 is the bomb aimer's position. Have Fun!
