Salamander Interceptor
[Part of my scaled WW2 series - All aircraft built to scale, with accurate weights, speeds and flight characteristics to the original.]
Designed as a quick-to-build emergency interceptor by amateur german civillians, the Heinkel Salamander Interceptor was intended to be piloted by Hitler Youth teenagers in the Germans desperation to destroy american bombers.
INSTRUCTIONS - This thing is a bitch to fly.
Takeoff ACT1 on, VTOL to -100%, ACT1 off. ACT2 on, VTOL to -80%. trim full down. Throttle to 80%, more is considered afterburner
Cruising is ACT2 to 0, deactivate ACT2. ACT1 to 0, hit landing gear button, deactivate ACT1
This bastard is impossible to land safely, and the landing gear mechanisms has this tendency to warp outside the fuselage during high manoeuvres which results in instant catastrophic structural failure. Enjoy!
