F73 is a Indonesian carrierborne single engine fighter made to combat the MiG-21,in 1961 when Indonesia heard the MiG-21 was introduced to Soviet Union's service,they quickly need a fighter that can beat the MiG-21 in dogfight,a design bureau later introduced the F66 into Indonesian airforce,but they need a more efficient way to combat the MiG-21 by analyzing its weakness,until the design bureau saw that MiG-21s dont really excel at rate fight,so the bureau later quickly made and introduced a plane designated F73,a plane that fights the Fishbed or any other plane in a vertical fight while also fulfilling Indonesian Navy needs of a new fighter,the plane saw service in Vietnam used by USN,and it excels in fighting the MiG-21,having superior climb rate and top speed AG1 : Canopy , VTOL : Wingtip fold
