U-2A high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft is a super-high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft developed and manufactured by Lockheed Martin Company.The aircraft was originally used to spy on Soviet nuclear missile sites and other military facilities.But on May 1, 1960, Article 360, piloted by Francis Gary Powers, was shot down over the Soviet Union.Powers was imprisoned by the Soviets.So far, U-2A has completely withdrawn from the stage of history.
