F.T.R.C. 58E-2
History
The F.T.R.C. 58 was a fighter that entered service in late 1943 in the pacific, operating from airfields, and continued to be used until 1946 in other fronts. It’s main role was bomber escort, and due to this, the plane would carry 2 103-gallon external fuel tanks for extra range, that could be dropped for extra maneuverability when in dogfights. The 8 12.7mm machine guns on the E variants could easily tear up enemy fighters, although it suffered from a lack of acceleration at high altitudes. It’s other main variants improved on this issue (not included in the late version chase I’m lazy), and also added 3 20mm guns but removed 6 12.7mm guns. Overall though, it performed well against other planes, and by 1945, about 1200 had been produced.

Notes
Just some random things that have to do with the build
This has 4 wings because I made a mistake when mirroring, but, it helps the plane fly a lot better and I noticed too late to change it anyway
I actually like one of my WW2 builds for once
The guns are super op
I didn’t bother to modify health on this one, so it will die instantly with a few shots
engine was originally supposed to have more power, but it could do a vertical while still gaining speed so… yeah.
Dats it
Enjoy!
