Hello everybody, quick post today. I just wanted to post a couple of variants of the B0X1 i posted a couple of weeks ago (for something i will announce later on ;) ).

-What is this?
Just an offroad version of the new B0X1. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't really have to do many changes, the biggest differences are only 3:

1- an increased ride height and off road tires
2- more fuel stored in the fuel tanks, allowing a range of 630 km
3- a stronger gyroscope allowing for better stability

other than this and few aesthetic changes the car didn't transform all that much, but i found it being a decent off roader that, while not as capable as the A-HIKER, is still capable of handling mildly harsh terrain.

GIAT was looking to put variations of the B0X1 on the market in order to make the car more attractive to a wider audience. The sporty HPG and a retro inspired version were already in the works but the company was unsure about about some proposals, especially the CROSS version.
The company never focused on Cross-overs due to policies that disincouraged designers from making excessively inefficient cars other than fears that a car like this might compete with offerings from TERRAM, a company from the same group that specifically made off-roaders.
Carefull market analysis was done after large pressure from the designers that thought this variant could help with the "B0X1 brand", so the company found that there was demand for an affordable <3.5 meters long off-roader with 5 seats and since the A-HIKER was only a 3 seater this meant that there wouldn't be any internal competition.
So, the car got an official "go-ahead" and after a few modifications were made to the B0X1 it went into production at a slightly higher price, but still low enough not to compete with the A-HIKER or other TERRAM vehicles.
The designers were right, the car was a success, but it didn't surpass the sales of the original because, while capable, many people looking for an off-roader preferred getting the more iconic and practical A-HIKER.
