The Sukhoi Su-35 (NATO Reporting Name : Flanker E) is a single seat, twin-engine, supermaneuverable air superiority multirole aircraft that was designed by Sukhoi and derived from the Sukhoi Su-27. There are two variants, The Sukhoi Su-27M and the Sukhoi Su-35S (The version you're currently looking at). The Sukhoi Su-27M was originally developed by the Soviet Union from the Sukhoi Su-27. It incorporates canards and a multi-functional radar system which gave it the abilities of a multirole. The first prototype made its maiden flight in June 1988. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, It was redesignated as the Sukhoi Su-35. Fourteen copies we're made and they we're likely meant for testing and demonstration. One example had thrust-vectoring engines which would later be redesignated as the cancelled Sukhoi Su-37. A sole Su-35UB two-seat trainer was also built in the late 90s' which resembled much of the Su-30MK family. In 2003, Sukhoi embarked on a second modernization of the Su-27to serve as an interim aircraft awaiting development of the Sukhoi PAK FA (AKA Sukhoi-Su 57 "Felon) program. Also known as the Sukhoi Su-35, it would later have its cockpit and weapon-control system redesigned and features thrust-vectoring engines in place of the canards. The type made its first flight in 2008 and would later give birth to the Sukhoi Su-35S, which was introduced in February 2014. The aircraft is currently used by Russia, China, and Egypt although India, the UAE, Algeria, Turkey and etc. might possibly operate it.

The letter "S" in the Sukhoi Su-35S means Stroyevoy or "Combatant".

The aircraft is powered by two Saturn AL-41F1S afterburninig turbofan engines with a top speed of 2,400 km/h (1,500 mph) or Mach 2.25 at altitude.

It is armed with one 30mm Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-1 autocannon located on its starboard wing root, 4 R-27 "AA-10 Alamo" medium range air-to-air missiles, 4 R-73 "AA-11 Archer" short-range air-to-air missiles, 4 Kh-29 "AS-14 "Kedge"" air-to-surface missiles, and a P-800 Oniks "Yakhont" anti-ship missile.
