As promised here is another version of the 555, the "E.555-7" another design quite unknown and with information that contradicts and is confusing, by chance I discovered that it had 3 turbines and not 2 since there is only 2 images and little information, as for the turrets I suppose that one works with magic, since it only has 3 people on board but 2 turrets, perhaps the co-pilot could use it sitting in a separate seat but we don't know, In this case, it aims automatically. Let's pretend that it's by some radar system, or something like that.
History:
The E 555-7 project was very similar to the E 555-1, -2, -3, -4 and -6 from the structural point of view but for the layout of the turbojets it was closer to the E 555-8, -9 and -10 projects with two engines installed on the upper wing.
Installing a turret just behind the rear-firing cockpit involved clearing the firing space and placing the two upper BMW 109-018s above the landing gear compartments while the third was still under the center wing section.
The defensive armament was still composed of the two Mk-103 fixed on either side of the cabin and the dorsal turret, but these weapons were now supported by four MG-151 in two remote-controlled turrets fixed on the trailing edge of the wing and directed by a gunner installed in a compartment at the end of the rear fuselage.
This additional armament gave much greater firepower than a traditional tail turret. With four tons of bomb and 15.7 tons of fuel, the E 555-7 had to cover 5000 kilometers at a speed of 950 km/h.
Speed: 950 km/h / 590 mph
Armament: 2 x 30mm Mk 103 / 6 x 20mm MG 151 / 12 Bombs (Boom 25)
