The ARC Clyde Intruder takes its name from the WW2 medium bomber of the same name. A tactical bomber with solid stand-off air to ground capability its original application was to quickly engage enemy air defences. Clearing the way for strategic bombers following in its wake. Subsequent models of the bomber included limited air defence capability with air-to-air missiles and twin nose mounted cannons.
