Turret Jumbo-X
This is an experimental jet with remapped control bindings to improve turret targeting for joystick input.
The throttle command could not be handled by control surfaces. So unlike my Simple Tank, I assigned turret control to the left lever. And I rebinded engine throttle as well as air brakes to the trim scroll bar on the right of the screen. The yaw control surface has to be removed.
Luckily it seemed the overall flying and landing quality weren't affected too much after the change. And now I can gain more aiming advantage through a greater turret control precision.
The idea that put a lethal turret on the nose of the plane came from the Boeing YAL-1A. And I think this simple plane inherited the idea well. I tested this one in the gun training course, and took 4 drones max within the time limit. Two of them were shot down before they were bigger than a pixel.
Have fun!
