Little Bugger X-66D
A modified version of the Little Bugger dune buggy that is capable of flying... Controls: VTOL Lever: FWD/Reverse jet exhaust nozzles; Button 1: Car engine for ground operation; Button 2: Jet engine for air operation; Button 5: Drogue Chutes for landing on aircraft carriers or short runways... Takeoff: Buttons 1 & 2, VTOL Lever down all the way. Full throttle. There are no flaps. Takeoff rotation is at ~250 mph. Landing the aircraft: Approach can be made at full speed due to efficiency of thrust reversers upon landing, but approach speeds of 250+ mph are not recommended. Throttle to about 40 percent, VTOL between half and 1/4 full down. Flare nose just prior to touching deck while increasing throttle to 100 percent and bring VTOL Lever all the way to the top, reversing the nozzles and thereby reversing thrust. Weaponry: A single .50 caliber machine gun is centered above the flight station if things ever get dicey.
It is now my most popular aircraft, with more downloads than any of the others on my profile.
