Description

Wz.53/10 was a early main battle tank developed and manufactured by Socialist Republic of Krakowia in the late 1952, while under pressure of the ongoing 35 Years War and Imperium's heavy bombardment toward Krakowia. Fabryka Broni Mazowieckie (FBH) was chosen to be the main producer and manufacturer of the tank. Wz.53/10 took an opposite direction of the Obelian early Universal Tank that typically much heavier and relatively bigger in seize in return of heavier armor and firepower, but this tank were made to be small, light and cheap. However, this tank is ergonomically inferior to most tank of the time, it was smaller and much cramped, especially since it's still using the 4-men crew layout. Only small number produced before being redesigned.

DEPLOYMENT HISTORY

Wz.53/10 saw only limited production due to frequent bombing raids by the Obelian Imperium targeting their factories. A total of 200 units were built, including 20 prototypes. Designed for open-field combat and ambushes, the tank was made with a low profile. However, most of these tanks were deployed in urban warfare during the Krakowia counteroffensive in 1954, aiming to push the Imperial Army out of the city of Dzalowa. This was not their intended role, and the results were disappointing. The tank's engine frequently overheated, and the cramped compartment, particularly for the loader, proved problematic. However, as the war drew to a close, the tank received significant improvements and was finally used as intended, delivering much better results. The improved version continued to be deployed until 1963.
