This was the earliest form of the Ju-87, with the "trousers" around the gear and two traverse bracing struts, the Ju-87 A actually had poor carrying ability only being able to hold 550lb bomb, though it could carry a 1,100lb bomb with no extra crew besides the pilot, the Ju-87 A served only in the Spanish Civil War, as seen with the Condor Legion paintscheme, and was replaced by the much more powerful Ju-87B (activator 1 for foward facing gun, activator 2 for turret)
