The SAR-77 Lightning can best be called a mobile operations center. Created for Search and Rescue many of its features ended up on the C-16B. When threatened with obselecense in the early 90's most were completely rebuilt internally with new computers, a practise that happened again in 2016. The aircraft basically operates as a mobile hub, coordinating lifeboats and searching from above, and can land on the water to help if no traditional lifeboats are available. 1-5 for the engines.
