R22 (Floats)
This is my first serious build (for those of you who don't know me, I normally make mods), it mainly began as a test for a designer mod of mine. I tried to get it as technically accurate (outline-wise) as possible (said designer mod allowed me to compare orthographic with blueprints), but the aesthetics, smoothness and detail (not to mention the engine which is actually a box with a pipe on the bottom) aren't exactly premium quality. I'm also not pleased with the rotor and control system, I had initially tried to use a swashplate but gave up. I did, however, fit it out with a functional cockpit.
The instrument panel has:
- Artificial Horizon
- 5 fake dials
- Some line-y instrument for decoration
- 8 Switches (activation groups)
CONTROLS:
- Collective : Throttle
- Cyclic : Pitch/Roll
- Pedals : Yaw
- Doors : AG5-6
Normal Hover Throttle (sea level): 58%
(though it can vary with rotor RPM)
TAKEOFF INSTRUCTIONS:
- Raise Collective
LANDING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Lower Collective (carefully)

i think as a trainer helicopter thsi is brillant i mean the flaoting idea is good incase ur in the middle of the water and still ealrning thus may need a phew unexpected landings
Nice! I put the file path on python and press enter but then i got error:
SyntaxError: unexpected character after line continuation character
It's called the skspot system I think
@WNP78 could you make a mod for an F111 aardvark fighter bomber ? You can look it up on the web. F111 Aardvark beacon bombing I think . It drops bombs by homing in on a beacon than flying straight at it and using an offset system your computer calculates the distance from your aircraft to your Target and drops the bombs
@EliteArsenals24 yup, I am working on an entry to the trainer challenge plus a load of mods I want to finish off before SR2 comes out.
@WNP78 Oh Is that what I said haha. Anyways nice work :). Hope in seeing you post more of your mods and builds :)
Nice work; I love the helicopter! It was plenty of fun to fly around the USS Tiny and "The Bowl.' I also thought the details in the cockpit were cool.
@BogdanX they deserve it, the scumbags. Running away? How discourteous!
@BogdanX you're welcome. Have fun busting runaways.
@EliteArsenals24 no, you said "This proves that you are skilled in modding as well as building...", I'd say "This proves that you are skilled in building as well as modding..."
@WNP78 nope. Maybe a few flaws but its cool.
@BogdanX they are ordered based on their distance from the main cockpit (outside first) and if that is the same, by their part ID..... or that's what should happen. For some reason I'm observing different behaviour during tests. Strange
@EliteArsenals24 did you mean that the other way around?
This proves that you are skilled in modding as well as building...
@OldBossy2 um.... Woops. I made this a month or so ago, I only released it now because it was sitting in my files doing nothing. I thought I'd tested the floats, but obviously not...
Wow, that was a longer comment than I thought it was.
Ok I will give you 2 likes and one thing to fix. I love that it is pretty easy to control and that it looks great. Their is the first like. Next we do a thing to fix. It is complete and utter bull carp that it floats. I don't know if it because I have it set to low physics or what but they do not work. I set it to 58% and the tail was half way in the water. If you mean it hovers in such a way that it appears to float then that is not actual floating. I also tried it at other throttle % and it still didn't do it. It took of at 60% and dlbarely changed at 59%. I apologize if the floats were meant to be mainly aethstetic. Next like is that I love all the fiddle stuff. I like how the propeller is already spinning and that it has auto open doors. Not trim/VTOL sliding required. My favorite part is playing with all the little switches and buttons in the awesome looking cockpit. It is overall a great, cool helicopter.
@BogdanX that's because it has a gyro :(
I haven't seen a build from you in a loooooooong time.
