PI-JMV-Ostritch-Mk1 also known has Project Ostrich, is a Mulitirole VTOL Fighter designed for the needs of Lasvina. The main role of the craft is to attack enemy vessels, provide minial air defense for ground forces and perform recon missions. While it isn't great for dogfights, the lasvinian military has other fighters for deticated air to air missions.

Due to the lack of long runways in Lasvina, the military always had to use STOL and VTOL aircrafts. The Ostritch is a contination of this long tradition.

To remove some workload of the pilot, the Ostritch was equipped with the VTOL stabilizer system. It utilize a gyroscope to keep the aircraft leveled duing hover mode.

The Ostritch is equipped with 4 PI-MMS-Saola-mk1, 2 Rocket Pod Type 2 with 14 rockets each, 150 rounds for 1 PI-SG-ZincTempest-Mk1 and 1000 rounds for 2 PI-SMR-NickelTyphoon-Mk1.

The PI-MMS-Saola-mk1 is a multirole version of the PI-MAS-Bison-Mk1. The multirole capabilities came at the cost of a smaller explosive charge. It still has the range of 10 km and great agility.
The Rocket Pod Type 2 is am imporved version of the Rocket Pod Type 1. The rocket capacity has been doubled.
The PI-SG-ZincTempest-Mk1 is a 50mm autocannon designed to inflict heavy damage to ground targets. It is mounted on a turret located under the fuselage.
The PI-SMR-NickelTyphoon-Mk1 is a 25mm autocannon.
