Due to the tank's performance in the wars where the Equestrians were involved, many Great Country Nations desired to acquire HKP 7s into their military. After the Unification of Sovereign States, HKP 7s remained in service and served along side the two other Main Battle Tanks of the Royal Sovereign Army; MBT-45 of the former Canterlot Army and Rustung 12 of the former Crystal Army.
Development
The earlier HKP 6 performed well, getting good reputation among the Sovereign States who used them in service. Although with such reputation, The Royal Equestrian Army wanted to improve the HKP 6 whether improving it or making a new concept. The HKP 6s were improved with variants such as 6A1,6A2,6A3, and 6A4. An upgrade was attempted to incorporate into HKP 6 which would be 6A5 but the upgrade was deemed to be difficult since the upgrades were far beyond the dimensions of HKP 6. This led to a long discussion in the Government. In 2000s it has been decided to create a new tank to succeed the previous HKP 6. Metallbearbeitung, the same developer, designer and manufacturer of HKP 6 was contracted by the Royal Equestrian Army to develop the tank. Surprisingly, Metallbearbeitung was able to produce the first prototype in 2001. After a year of evaluations and testing in the Rüstungs- und Waffenanlage, The tank was finally approved for production in 2003.

@handitover Wait what? I built this one for like a week. Yes I used Leopard 2 as my concept, but I will never copy someone's creation.
