Douglas Dolphin (See Description)
The Dolphin originated as the "Sinbad", a waterborne "flying yacht". Due to lack of demand, Douglas added retractible landing gear to the design to make it amphibious, and renamed it the Dolphin. Picked up by the US Coast Guard in the 30's. My model is accurate in design, but struggles in flight. I posted a help request in the forums and got a little help from MaximustheMinimus, but she's still struggling for level flight. If you have any suggestions or have a fix for me, I'd greatly appreciate it as I've tried too many weight/ balance combos for this thing to still not fly level. If all else fails, I hope you appreciate the aesthetics of this beautiful sea bird. Thank you for stopping by to look, and enjoy your flight!!
