The SM-28A Rook was a single engine, single seat, multi role supersonic jet fighter developed by XavierJackson Aerospace in the 1970s to replace the aging FI-2E Rangers in service of the Averden Air Defense Corps(AADC), as the primary backbone of the fleet. It entered service on the 31st of November in 1975 with the AADC 32nd squadron The Flakbats, and and entirely replaced the FI-2E in 1983 when 48th squadron Bastion received the SM-28As. In 2008, they were tested to their fullest extent during the Sarson-Averden war. For their service in the conflict, they proved their mettle and managed to snag 12 separate aces, and wrestled the victory from their adversaries in the first major engagement over the city of Steelridge.
