[CLOSED] Airliner Challenge
CLOSED!
May the best builder win!
BTW the plane featured is my RJ200-200
In short, just build an airliner.
This is my first challenge. I know I only have 449 points at the time of writing, but to me, "Social Status" doesn't really matter. We are all part of the same community at the end of the day.
Rules:
- No infinite fuel
- Must be a successor - exceptions will be excused for technical difficulties
- 3 entries per user
- Max 1500 parts
- The fictional build OR replica must be designed to carry civilian passengers.
- The plane must be for commercial service - it must be for public airline transport (e.g. a large jetliner, regional jet or prop, etc.) small props used for island hopping do not fit this definition as some don't consider them to be airliners.
- To provide a strict definition for the rule above, for the purposes here, planes widely used by commercial carriers to accommodate at least 30 people (in a real or fictional scenario). This is not strictly enforced (i.e. 29 or 28 passengers may still be eligible)
- Other than as stated above, size does not matter - it can be anything from a twin turboprop carrying 30 passengers or a superjumbo with some 800 on board.
- The plane must NOT be a re-upload - it will count as long as you can prove there is a new feature to an existing build, or a brand-new one. A new livery does not count.
- The use of Fine Tuner and XML is encouraged, though all other mods are not allowed (I play on iOS)
- No copying descriptions (or a template of one) from someone else; copying stuff you wrote is fine
- I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY ANY AIRPLANE if it is too low-effort.
- Have fun!
Point guidelines:
Plane - 100pts
1. Performance - Does your airplane fly realistically? Does it just feel like a real plane?
X/40pts
2. Innovation - how creative and innovative is it? Does the plane have unique design solutions to common problems? What unexpected features are there (e.g. autopilot, doors, complex custom landing gear, the extensive use of Funky Trees, etc)?
X/30pts
3. Design - Is the design of the plane practical? Is it realistic? If your plane is a replica, how similar is it compared to the real plane? If it is fictional, how does it compare to its real-world competition?
X/25pts
4. Livery - how good does it look?
X/5pts
Description - 20pts
Are there detailed and accurate specs? Are limitations, V-speeds, and warnings given for the most enjoyable and realistic experience? Are short tutorials given for critical flight phases? Are controls given, if any, detailed and accurate?
TOTAL: 120pts
Extra credit of 20 points will be given for the best first impression
Extra credit of 0.05 points will be given for each part over 1000 that does not constitute spamming parts, rounded up to the nearest point
Ten (10) points will be deducted if a gyro is required for normal operation - vertical take-off aircraft exempt if gyro is used for VTOL only
First place - 15 upvotes (if possible) and 2 spotlights if you have less than 1338 points
Second Place - 10 upvotes (if possible) and 1 spotlight if you have less than 1338 points
Third Place - 7 upvotes (if possible)
Runners up (4th and 5th) - 3 upvotes
Plus, an upvote for every 25 points, if possible
If you decide to participate, thank you so much.
Challenge now ends on September 14 at 12PM UTC

@FeiWu but I already built it
@AAAagent7 Seeing as the fuselage here is just a few blocks strapped together, I don't see why not. However I do suggest using something else since this was a low quality build, and there are many other similar fuselages out there.
hey can I use ur fuselage for my build
Oh I thought it was @FeiWu
@Nash11 oh.
But that was clearly not a 747.
You have been disqualified on one of your 2 possible submissions. You can still build another one. If you copy another plane and post it for inspiration, better make it clear.
That Boeing was just a picture of what I was going to create @FeiWu
@chibikitsune for every 10 parts over 1000 you now get 1 bonus point
@FeiWu Ah, no worries. Have a great day!
@chibikitsune thank you for the spotlight!
With an amended rule, you now get bonus points for high part count.
@chibikitsune just tag me in the successor of the 1234 challenge
Ah, I was building an airliner for the 1234 part challenge, but I would've liked to contribute. Is it possible I could enter mine for both in this case, or not
@Suubk27 thanks so much for the spotlight! For the sake of those who found out about this now, I will extend the deadline.
@DPSAircraft I see. Well I hope you have a very nice break then. ;)
@DPSAircraft thanks!
@Suubk27 I’ll take it!
i have a c919 with interior , custom landing gear and doors but it has 1707 parts…
@WernsterProductions Nice idea!
@FeiWu I Appreciate The Support, I'll Think About It, Maybe a Dogfight Tournament Would Be Pretty Awesome.
@WernsterProductions At least some people will.
Plus, if you make it, I will spotlight
@FeiWu Oh, Makes Sense, Since The Successors Does Give Alot Of Points, Although I Doubt Anyone Would Attend.
@WernsterProductions You know, if you want to be famous, you can make your own challenge. As evident in the description, I had 449 points 8 days ago and now I'm silver.
This Seems Fun! I'll Participate! After All This Might Greatly Help Me Become Well Known, I'll Get Devillan.co To Work On This!
Also Good Luck To Everyone Participating In This Challenge!
@Nash11 Thanks
I put a lot of thought into them. Maybe that's why the two of them pushed me from 449 to getting silver rank.
I love your challenges
