Cessna MC-700A Longbow, Delta Federation Royal Navy
The Cessna MC-700 is a family of heavily modified Cessna 700 Citation Longitudes that were made to replace the EP-3E ARIES II. The MC-700 can handle the role of SIGNT, COMINT, ELINT, and MASINT all in just one aircraft!
After the cancellation of the EP-X project, the Delta Federation Royal Navy decided that they should have 2 types of aircraft that replaced the EP-3. The first type of aircraft was an unmanned aircraft and this spot was taken by the MQ-4C Triton. The second type was an all jet aircraft and Cessna immediately took on that role. In March of 2019, they announced the MC-700. The MC-700 immediately caught the attention of the Delta Federation Royal Navy as the perfect aircraft for the second role. They then contracted Cessna to build 1 for Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 5. After testing and evaluation, they ordered 15 more. The MC-700 also caught the attention to other nations.
