The Lockheed L-1011 Tristar, also known as L-1011, is a wide-fuselage jet three-engine aircraft, developed and manufactured in the United States by Lockheed, from 1968 to 1984.

It was the third wide-body passenger jet plane to go into operation, after the Boeing 747 and the McDonnell Douglas DC-10, the latter also with three engines
