8-E Matchstick I
Built in 1927. The "Matchstick" was the Italian born Frank "The Fox" Franzetti's masterpiece. Built and flown by Mr Franzetti, he went onto win several minor races during 1927-28 never too fly again after a midair collision which sheared the the main wing completely off, almost causing Franzetti to crash. He survived the crash due to his expert landing. Many said his skill was due to extensive battle testing during his stint in the Italian air force during WW1. Of which he never spoke of.
Light and agile, the craft made for quite a nimble racer. Made with a wooden frame with cloth and wood paneling. It was known for taking sharp turns and fast straightaway.
The aircraft was mothballed until the 1960's when it was sold to A pilot , Katoya (Kanagawa) who eventually retrofitted the fuselage with an outboard Jet engine, and named it the Silver Bullet. It was to be used to beat the speed record of the time.

@Sirnubenegra Weightless fuselage. Most of the peices are weightless actually. Peel some parts off and put them in your sub-assembly. You will be able to tell when they are weightless when no weight comes off "original" weight. Grab a piece of wing too, it is also weightless I believe (and un-bendable). Have fun!
This is different, but a good kind of different :)
when your a fighter pilot but u don't want to get close to the frontline.
