They call it "Titan" for a reason.
OK, on a serious note...
The Titan was built to co-operate with the TFA-1 Monsoon, with the Monsoon being a more agile, lighter fighter, whilst the TFA-2 Titan would be a heavier but faster aircraft with aim towards ground attack missions or occasionally intercepts. However, in order to make the Titan genuinely faster, it needed a big ducted fan, resulting in the TFA-2's massive size and thus name.
