The Gee Bee Model R Super Sportster was a special-use racing plane made by Granville Brothers Aircraft of Springfield, Massachusetts at the now abandoned Springfield Airport (Massachusetts). The R-1 quickly acquired an undeserved reputation as a potentially dangerous machine. This deficiency was common for most racing machines of any kind. Non-flying replicas of the R-1 were built at the New England Air Museum and the San Diego Air & Space Museum using original plans for the aircraft. [9] Another is exhibited at the Lyman and Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History at the Springfield Museums.
This is my version of Gee Bee (miniature), I've been very angry with him. But I hope you like it.
