SM-400 All Purpose OC
The SM-400 APOC is a Military/Civillian aircraft from the 1950s. it was originally conceptualized by John Scathum, a Greek man, who designed it in August 1949. it was given air worthiness on Christmas Eve that year. The USAF bought 1000 400s, realizing the extreme military potential of a fast flying bomber. the remaining 14000 original wave of sales was split between each of the main airlines of the Americas. Delta, American, and Air Canada, to name a few. its iconic look rivaled Boeings iconic designs, with its classic twin underside inlets, leading into the large turbojet in the tail. a sight to behold, to be sure. the aircraft can be fitted with 6 machine guns, for a fighter, 10 large Bombs, for a bomber, and if you clear out the center of the aircraft, you can have a brilliant civillian transport aircraft. the namesake of the aircraft can still be found today, in the S-400 missile system. Scathum aircraft, however, had to discontinue the aircraft, after it being found to have a similar fault with the De Havilland Comet. however, it is well appreciated in a section of the Museum of Flight Hall of Fame.
