The Lynch X3-4, after the failure of the X3-3, Lynch S needed to get back in buisness with the airlines. They decided to go big and creat the first long range airliner. They tried different desines, one even including a flying wing, but nothing worked. Then one enginer from the company by the name of Bill went home and started drawing a plane. It was just a doodle, but he made it more advanced and kept drawing. He drew another picture of the interior and one with even what engines he would use! The next morning he heard that the company was having a problem with there new design. So he presented the picture and it won the pick! They started building the plane. A low cost long range plane, What airline would want that? EVERY AIRLINE! Airlines like delta and Pan am were ordering them by the hundreds! After that, Bill was premoted to the design industry. To this day Bill is called the savior of Lynch X.
