videos of plane designing Pt.1, Pt.2

Info:

As you can probably guess by now, this plane is powered solely by the recoil of a canon. Surprisingly, it is an effective way to go extremely fast, you can tune jet engines to have just as much power, but you run into aerodynamic issues with the wings if you go extremely fast at sea level. If you try to go really high, where there's no air resistance, the jet engines don't work due to there being no air. But that's when canon propulsion shines, you can go up as high as you want, and they'll still work and propel you faster and faster. I hope you enjoy this plane.

Controls:

If you forget the controls, check craft instructions.

  • Activate1= Open/close canopy
  • Activate2= Gyroscopic stabilization
Note: Use when flying at extremely high altitude and control surfaces no longer work.
  • fireWeapons= Throttle
  • Pitch, Roll, Yaw, & Brake= Normal flight controls

how to go 1,000,000mph:

  • Select weapons and air to ground, or air to air mode.
  • Bump the fireWeapons button, a few times to get yourself off the ground.
  • Angle at about 30° up and hold down fireWeapon
  • Once you get above 150,000 to 200,000 feet hit Activate2 and level out.
  • Continue holding down fireWeapons and making small corrections with Yaw and Pitch maintain your altitude, and continue this for long enough and you will reach 1 million mph.

notes:

  • This is not a replica, it is a fully original design.
  • Feel free to download and mess with this all you want.
  • You can make it, go way faster by increasing the canon recoil, however, this makes it extremely hard to control near ground level.

Enjoy!

It only goes 3000 mph for me. But I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. What is the optimal altitude?

I see, that's one way to get high fast.

How this thing is setup up if you fly up to about 5million up in altitude it's able to 2 million mph

@Belloaka I guess that's why you put in the gyro. I didn't put it on at that time.

@JAMIED2711 It is kind a hard to keep it going straight with no air resistance to help you. But I'm glad you enjoyed it.

@Zaineman That's cool, it will certainly get you there in a hurry.

This would be great to "discover" new areas. I went from Wright airport to I think the ice tundra ? And back and landed successfully at Wright airport
