RJ-Grumman Viper F6 2.8
234k RamboJutter
4.9 years ago
As part of the RamboJutter F series of fighters, the F6 was a co-operative late war design between RJ and Grumman, the fuselage, tail and fin come from the Bearcat, the wings counter-rotating propellers etc from the RJ F4. Using a larger version of the Napier Sabre 24 cylinder H shaped engine this aircraft was one of the fastest piston engined aircraft in the war. Designed as a landbased pacific interceptor/fighter it lacked folding wings and arresting gear but this made the aircraft lighter and thus more manoverable.
