RamboJutter SeaHound 5.9

243k RamboJutter  one month ago

Introduction

When the Royal Navy / Fleet Air Arm required an upgraded aircraft from its fleet of Attackers, Scimitars and SeaVixens the RJ company produced the SeaHound.

Based around a single large jet engine with reheat, it was a massive step up from the previous generation of fighters but still with the limitations of the era in regards to aerodynamics and radar etc.

This build took some doing, ive tried to include allsorts of bits and pieces i have either never done or dont do often, so it now includes working suspension to all three undercarriage legs and a man in the cockpit (with an ejection sequence).

I haven't included a full cockpit to keep the part count reasonable but i have played around and included recessed gun barrels tubes (no idea what the technical term is)

Controls

AG1 = start the engine and shut the canopy
AG2 = arrestor hook
AG3 = airbrakes (sequenced so lower petals shut at slow speeds i.e. landing)
1
2

AG4 = Nav lights
AG5 = fold wings / pitot tube
3

AG6 = Jettison drop tanks
AG7 = ejection sequence

    @Emma159 Yeah thats fair, i used the Lightning for the cockpit only (Tornado nose - before chopping the end off, A7 fin and wing, F102 engine) but it does give off a squashed Lightning vibe =) Thanks for the upvote and comment.

    Naval version of the English Electric Lightning on a shoestring budget. Overall an amazing plane.

    @Type2volkswagen Thanks for that, that flipping rotator has had zero on deactivate added so many times and it was working fine just before i posted this build, there are definately gremlins in the system for that. No idea what happened on the nose wheel either. Well spotted and thanks. Fixed build here

    Great Build, but you missed a couple of things.

    The Nose Landing Gear has a Piece out of place,(you can see it in the pictures).
    The Speed brake located in the Left Bottom position doesn't behave like the others,(the white and green hinge rotator is missing the zeroOnDeactivate command).
