Piston Engine Inline 8
15 ToxicImpulse
1.4 years ago
This is the successor to the inline 4 engine I built. The engine has been upgraded to an inline 8 engine, so it is now possible to run the engine at the highest possible rpm (~190 rpm) without risking 'stuttering'.
Due to the rebuild, the engine is now suitable for high load/high RPM, and runs well at high rpm and very well at low rpm.
To set the desired speed, you just have to push the left VTOL slider up. Unfortunately, the direction of rotation is still random and at high RPM "gyroscopic forces" can occur which, without the weights under the engine, could tip the engine over. (well visible in slow motion+high RPM)
