So some of you guys may remember this leviathan of an aircraft from 1.7 years ago (at the time of this post), well I decided to modernize this 140 year old (in-lore) aircraft for use in the 23rd century.
List of modifications include:
-Rebuilding the WHOLE GODD_ Superstructure and panels out of Type 2 Carbex (20x lighter than Styrofoam, 5000x stronger than diamond, and has no drag)
-VTOL capabilities added (should make water takeoff pretty straight forward)
-Floats higher above the water (The lower runways are now available for use, even when the aircraft has fully landed)
Takeoff process(if you so please):
-Throttle up all the way
-Once you have cleared any obstacles, gear up
-off and away you go
Landing process:
-find an area with enough space to fit (easier said than done)
-if you are moving forwards when you find your desired landing place, Lower the gear and move the VTOL slider all the way down( this enables thrust reversal)
-bring it down like you would a helicopter

-This aircraft is VERY slow to respond, so timewarp is your friend with this aircraft.

@RedAndGreenAmongus the blueprint is actually there, It's just way out of range. I found it by making the image large enough that some of it was within render distance and then I moved the image around, finding the center, while making the photo progressively smaller
@Nerfaddict no I meant how do you see the blueprint in the designer when your using very big aircraft, I tried it and the blueprint doesn't render
@RedAndGreenAmongus It's just a screenshot I took of a variant made specifically for that screenshot. The screenshot itself was taken from a different aircraft i flew to a far enough distance to view the whole plane
How are you making blueprint thumbnails on mobile with gigantic aircraft I tried that and the image doesnt render

@WolfHunter9111 if I were to work on it full time, I would most likely finish it by the end of the week. but as of late I have so many other projects going than i even care to list (at least 10 or 20)
@WolfHunter9111 not yet, just finished the main wings the other day, and now I'm working on "control". currently have pitch finished, just need to work on roll and yaw.

Daredevil Intensifies
@Honkcart well actually, the "aerial cruisers" that I make, despite their immense size, are actually fairly light on processing power.
for example, this plane actually has a lower "performance cost" (basically how taxing a creation is on processing power) than some of my normal sized planes

@Honkcart I have an even bigger plane in production dubbed the "Ascension" class aerial cruiser, and it WILL have a wingspan of at least 100km
to the best of my knowledge, i genuinely think this is the largest player built aircraft in the game
