This is the Comet LF Mk.3, the Francogerman Republic's primary light rocket interceptor of the late 1960s to 70s. Inspired by the World War II-era Messerschmitt Me 163, the fighter is verymuch an Me 163 on steroids. It boasts an insane climb rate and power to weight ratio, however only allows the carriage of two missiles, and at full power, flight time is limited to one minute.

Takeoff is simple; hit full throttle and allow the natural up-pitch of the design to lift off for you. However you must be quick to stabilize it; it'll want to pitch up constantly.

Landing is a more difficult process. Approach between 270 to 300 miles per hour, and once 20ft directly above the runway, deplay air brakes (hold B) and do not let go; the lower airbrake functions as a rear landing gear. Deploying airbiakes causes an extreme down-pitch moment; correct for this as soon as you can. Immediately upon touchdown, deploy the brake chutes (1). Alternatively, one can simple cut power and deploy the chutes mid-flight.

The Mark 3 was the only mark of the Comet LF to see service; the marks 1 and 2 were jet prototypes abandoned for difficulty in takeoff and lack of landing gear requiring a parachute to carry it down. The Mark 4 was cancelled for trouble with elevator control in its' redesigned wing.
