Bertha FTL
With P-4 just sitting around the lads in the Science department brought up an idea. Using 1 of 2 prototype FTL engines, the aircraft would be tested, before being returned home. The plan was set, and P-4 was launched from the USS Leviathan. After reaching 45000ft the aircraft activated it's FTL drive and disappeared into the black sky, with a faint disturbance in the Oort cloud being picked up around 75 days later. However the aircraft appears unable to return home, and has since been lost to the darkness of space...
However we've recently obtained a rough position approximately 12961.7996AU from Earth, a good distance into the Oort Cloud, last detected roughly parallel to Jupiter. We may have further plans for P-4.
