Between 2090s to 2100s, All Varme class served during peacetime for peacekeeping operations. Three of the Varme class saw active service in non-intervention operations during the Northern Rebellion. After the Northern Rebellion, all ships returned to peacetime operations. The ships were transferred to the new Royal Sovereign Navy following the Unification of States in 2110. After five years serving for the Navy, all ships were transferred to the Royal Sovereign Coast Guard due to their age. The Coast Guard decided to retire all ships by 2120 in order to be filled by newer and up to date vessels, but the outbreak of the 2nd Great War hindered their decommissioning ceremony leaving the ships in Forst Harbor. The ships were later remained in service under the Coast Guard and served alongside newer corvettes.

All ships saw active service in all operations conducted by the Royal Sovereign Coast Guard with two lost in battle. Most conducted anti-air duties while supporting logistics and minesweeping missions. After the war, the remaining four ships were put to reserve but later on were ordered to be scrapped except for one ship, Inndeling, which was preserved and is currently a museum ship.

Development

In 2069, The Admiralty of Scandinovia were pursuing the newly adopted "Rask angrepsflåte" which called out for newer ships with no lesser speed of 32 knots and is capable of powerful anti-aircraft duties to supplement it's fleet. The new corvette design were designed entirely for anti-aircraft duties making the concept all in anti-air only, Later on, new feature were integrated which gave it the ability to carry anti-submarine duties with the help of newly PESA equipment. Since the concept itself cannot carry helicopters, the duty was relied to drones instead.
