ERCO Ercoupe
I think the ERCO Ercoupe is one of the most underrated aircraft in the world. It was notable for being the first completely spin-proof airplane and, my favorite part, for being the first airplane sold in department stores. Seriously, this plane was sold in J.C. Penney's in the late 1940's and early 50's, right after World War Two. This is not the best Ercoupe on the site-for that you'll have to see JMicah4's model- but for one of only two, it's good enough. Be careful when taking off that you don't knock off the bottoms of the vertical stabilizers. It takes off iffy and in flight the nose sinks like a stone, but its a great lander. Cut the power when you are coming down and brake until the wheels are almost down. Let off the brake and let it sink to the ground. As soon as you touch down, hit the brakes again until you come to a stop. It's easy to make perfect three-point landings this way. You cannot use cockpit view for landings because one airbrake is right in front of the cockpit as a decorative thing. I could have turned it off, but I didn't want to. While we're on the topic of decoration, take a look at those side stripes while you're flying. Have fun and fly safe!
